The Princess Who Decided to Become a Pirate

As she walked down the docks with Captain Beryl all Princess Audrey could think was “Why would you want to rule a kingdom when you can plunder treasure and sail around the world.”

Gambit

The name is Gambit! Remember it!

New Prints in the Shop

I’ve updated my shop and you can now purchase prints of the superhero portraits that I’ve been doing lately and more.

Pearl Diving

Prior to modern innovations for every ton of bivalves searched only 3-4 quality pearls were found.

Puck

“Outta the way, eh?”
p.s. I love everything about Alpha Flight.

Green Lantern (Hal Jordan)

Even rookies know that a Green Lantern isn't without fear. A Green Lantern overcomes fear. Everytime they face it.

Rogue

Y'all oughta learn how to behave

Bravery

I had the opportunity to take part in the latest Ten Paces and Draw swap based on the theme “Bravery”, I received a sketch from Abi Stevens to go off of, which I may have diverted a little bit from this time. I have to say that this was my favorite swap yet. See all of the entries here

Captain America

I'll have to give them a symbol, just as I've always done! -- To show them evil can be confronted and beaten!

Beast

Oh, my stars and garters!

Primrose

Primrose ventured deeper and deeper into the forest on her quest knowing the spectral summons would protect her from its more hostile inhabitants.

Summer at Cornish 2013

I know it’s only May but if you are a high school student (ages 15-18) who thinks that spending the summer inside drawing rad things and watching cartoons sounds way better than a job at the ice cream hut or babysitting your little brother or if you know of someone else who fits that criteria I’d like to suggest the Summer At Cornish Precollege Program from July 8-August 2nd where I happen to be teaching a Sequential Design and Illustration course.

Last year we had a blast and some of the things coming out of the class included a biker dude prince charming, multi-colored bats dripping with disease and a sea captain literally sword planting a torpedo into a submarine. I can vouch for the fact that most if not all students left the class with portfolio worthy work based on real life assignments.

You do not need to live in Seattle to take part of this, I know for a fact housing is available and they even do extra programming for the students living on campus. Also if you register and pay before Friday May 3rd you’ll get a 10% discount on the course

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

The Diggery 3

This past winter I illustrated the children’s ebook “The Diggery 3” for MeeGenius written by LaQueshia Jeffries. The story details the daily adventures of 3 scientifically inclined siblings and is now available in the MeeGenius shop or via their app.

Maddy's Garden reworked

When I went back and looked at it the colors on the old version were bothering me so I thought I’d rework them.

Donatello

Donatello does machines (That's a fact, Jack!)

Hellboy

Cut to the end, will ya? How do I kill it?

I had a request in my tumblr inbox for Hellboy so I thought I’d oblige.

The Thing

Hey kiddies, do you know what time it is?

The Demon

Gone, gone the form of man, Rise the demon Etrigan!

Maddy's Garden

Maddy loved walking in her garden but it would have been so much nicer to share the walk with someone else.

Let's Get Busy

I had a request to draw some Busytown and since I had a break between projects I thought I'd go for it. I really like Richard Scarry's books, especially the more painted style ones like I Am A Bunny.

If you have requests you can submit them via the ask button on my tumblr, I'm not always able to do it and I can't guarantee a quick turnaround but if I have time I'll try.
