Giant Robot and Tentacles

here it is, the aforementioned giant robot versus giant octopus piece, was a bit of a pain to scan because i'm an idiot and made it like 18x24 so i apologize if the piecing isn't too great.

I'm hoping to keep this a bit more updated this year than last so hopefully more soon.

okay so i lied i have one more thing to post, did this the day before valentines so it's my belated early valentines day piece.

because really I'm sure there'd be a few people who'd be disappointed/surprised if i didn't posed something angsty for valentines.

so i was thinking to myself what do i love, robots and sexy ladies obviously, and how can i combine those loves, here it is the last of the 8 in two weeks and one of the most successful i think.

oh and by the way the robot totally counts as a background.

more of the 8 pieces in two weeks which are now done, i'll have that last piece up as soon as it's edited, it's not actually the last chronologically but it's big (as in i had to scan it in 6 pieces) and taking awhile to edit.

about attraction, really didn't like this in sketch form but somewhere along the lines changed my mind and have come to really like it, mostly i think because i really love the way the girl's head/hair turned out.

heres the final from the spacepersons sketch from a couple days ago, i finished it last night but didn't get to scan/piece/edit it yesterday. Cut paper as usual with pencil detail work.

I'm still pretty much on track for my 8 pieces in 2 weeks goal expect to see a new sketch soon.

Metro Times Detroit Final

here are final versions of the metro times piece, they decided to go with another person for the cover but asked me to do several interiors so all in all not to bad and turns out i still get paid.

These are sketches for the Metro Times Detroit Cover, unfortunately i'm not sure as they'll actually use them as they have several illustrators send sketches and only pick one to actually use, but oh well turns out i get paid either way. If these get picked there'll also be a couple of interiors b/w pieces as well, i was thinks a few of the birds coming out of the books as single spot illustrations.
